He has built and led high-performing teams, helping shape complex customer solutions, and was at the forefront of early automation pilots, including robotics, vision picking, and other emerging warehouse technologies. He also led the launch of data science and optimization capabilities, turning advanced analytics, AI, and SaaS-based tools into practical, deployable solutions.
History
The discovery of a better magnetic levitation technology was inspired by founders Mico Perales and Dr. John Baker searching for a more natural and more responsive treadmill system.
A magnetic levitation system operating as a treadmill would need to allow for fast change of direction, accelerate quickly and naturally, and be omnidirectional. Additionally, it would need to be fast, have predictive intelligence, and importantly transport heavy loads with very little power, all characteristics critical to a modern, high-performance material handling system. Dr. Baker, through his work at SRI International, had worked on successful magnetic levitation technologies, and this served as the foundation for what has become Radiant Robotics’ core technology: a low power, high load, intelligent magnetic movement system for material handling.
Radiant Robotics was first incorporated as US Positronix, Inc. before rebranding as Radiant Robotics.
